Let’s be honest, I love giving a good rec!

Probably 95% of this blog is recs I want to give. So let me give you ten recs that I haven’t written a post about yet! But, hey, they might come in the future!

  1. Imperfect Foods
I’m the worst grocery shopper — I will throw the same items in the cart every week. Especially since I’ve been home, the same bags of groceries show up at our doorsteps.

I tried Misfits Foods, did not have the best experience. Also, they were only fruits & vegetables, nothing else. I kept hearing about Imperfect Foods, so I decided to try it out. I have to say I like the subscription plan we’re on. We have the opportunity to try different foods, and they put all the groceries in the cart for me. Such a win! Click here to receive $20 off your first order.
  2. Rabbit Champagne and Wine Sealer
I do enjoy Threadbare Cider, especially Phil’s Burrow. However, it’s a drink one or two glasses then switch to an IPA. The lids are like wine bottles you can’t just add it back on. So

The Rabbit Champagne and Wine Sealer helps me ave the remaining for a later date. It keeps the cider crisp and bubbly for days!
  3. Quip
I love my Quip Toothbrush! I feel as though my teeth and tongue are as clean as can be! My biggest reason to rec Quip, your order comes automatically! You just set up how often you’d like your shipment to be delivered; if you’d like toothpaste or floss as well, and you’re set.

  4. JUKSTG LED Desk Lamp
If you’re like me and most of the world you’re spending a lot of time at home and probably on video calls. The lighting in your makeshift WFH office probably isn’t the best. For me, I didn’t want to look like the weird Ring Girl anymore.

I purchased the JUKSTG LED Desk Lamp and it works just as great as a ring light, with a fraction of the cost! Also, it really lights up the room when on full light mode.
  5. Waterpik
Oral hygiene was not a priority for me as a kid or teenager. My teeth were the WORST! As an adult who has had multiple dental procedures done, I try hard to take care of my teeth.

The Waterpik helps remove food and any other gunk in between your teeth. I feel as though it also works better than dental floss or flosser sticks. Also, flosser sticks can only be used once, go in a landfill & most are not biodegradable. The Waterpikuses water & plugs into the wall for power.

Bonus, the Tongue Scrapper attachment is amazing and helps clean your tongue!
  6. Zenni Optical
Glasses are expensive, and most insurances will only cover a small portion of your lenses and frames. Because glasses are so expensive, I was rocking 6-year-old glasses that were way out of prescription. My co-worker recommended Zenni Optical to me.

They do require an optometrist prescription, but the lenses & frames are affordable! They are also durable; I’m rough on my glasses & will set them down anywhere when I’m not using them. Which, is horrible because I cannot see without them.

They also have Blokz, which is Zenni Optical version of Blue Blockers! For those who spend time looking at screens, which is everyone. I do notice a considerable difference when wearing my computer glasses VS my everyday glasses.

  7. Nespresso Vertuo Machine
My espresso machine broke a couple of months ago and making espresso in my Aeropress takes a bit of time. I had a great experience with a Nespresso machine before. SO, I was like hey I should buy one of these. So I did, I bought the Nespresso Vertuo machine. Highly recommend it, and I love that they have a FREE recycling program for their pods.
  8. Cookie Butter
This stuff is seriously addictive! You will eat spoonfuls after spoonfuls of this. Also, great on cookies.
  9. Slice Micro Ceramic Blade
Just like most of the world, everything is being delivered to the door. The only issue, trying to open all those packages and envelopes! For a bit, I was keeping scissors by the front door to open, but scissors aren’t the best for opening boxes.

A colleague recommended the Slice Micro Ceramic Blade to me when I was complaining about the scissors. I have to say that the Slice Micro Ceramic Blade works great! It opens; boxes, envelopes, zip ties, those hard plastic containers, etc!

The Slice Micro Ceramic Blade is magnetic, so if you have metal near your front door — it’s easy to store. However, the Slice Micro Ceramic Blade is small, and we’ve already lost two. So we’ve been keeping the Slice Micro Ceramic Bladeon our fridge instead of by the door.
  10. You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
This is such a great book for anyone who is struggling with anxiety; especially those who are starting their own business, working their way up the ladder, or just starting out in their adult life. There are a number of great examples of how to deal with anxiety and how to work through an issue. Highly recommend reading; I’m currently trying to read more of Jen Sincero books.
