It’s officially that time of year again where kids want presents & parents want their kids to listen!

Well, why not upcycle two glass jars to show kids that they have to do tasks to gain Christmas gifts and if they do naughty things they lose gifts?

I decided to set up a Christmas jar set. Zoie would start with 30 Christmas Gifts (note that note all gifts are large, a pack of socks, and her stocking counts).

Every time we have to talk about attitude, a tantrum was thrown, chores are not done, etc a number is removed from the gift jar to the Lost Christmas Gifts.

However, the gifts can be moved back to the Christmas Gifts if extra chores are done without being asked, extra Prodigy hours are done, good deeds are done without being asked, etc.

The kids can also color the Christmas Gifts Numbers as you talk about how to gain and lose the gifts. It’s a nice bonding moment, that also can include hot cocoa!

After the end of the holiday season, you can either use them as a rewards system, with fewer numbers. Also, you can pack them up with the Christmas items and use them again the following year.
