Who doesn’t love a delicious fresh strawberry cake?

We decided to take a simple white cake recipe and add a little strawberry pure to it to make a delicious strawberry cake!

Even better, we topped the strawberry cake with chocolate ganache to taste like chocolate covered strawberry.

This is a fun recipe to make with your kids learning how to bake.

  1. Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Remove the tops of your strawberries, and cut into chunks
  3. Place the strawberry chunks into the food processor and puree until there are no strawberry chunks
  4. Set strawberries off to the side
  5. In mixing bowl combine sugar, baking powder, and salt, stir with a whisk
  6. Set dry ingredients off to the side
  7. In your mixer combine eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and turn mixer on 3
  8. Slowly add your dry ingredients 1/2 cup at a time into your wet ingredients in your mixer
  9. Once all your dry ingredients have been added mix for around five minutes, or until smooth
  10. Turn mixer off, and scrape the sides with your rubber spatula
  11. Turn your mixer back on to 3 and slowly pour your strawberry pure into the contents of the mixing bowl
  12. Mix for 3-5 minutes or until evenly distributed
  13. Grab your cake or bundt pan, spray evenly with olive oil
  14. Turn your mixer off and pour your contents of the mixing bowl into the cake or bundt pan
  15. Make sure the contents of the pan is evenly distributed
  16. Grab each side of your pan, raise about 1 inch off the counter and drop about 4-5 times to make sure all the bubbles are out
  17. Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the cake tester comes out clean
    • Please remember to use your oven mitts when pulling the oven rack out of the oven
  18. Allow cooling for 30-40 minutes until you icing or covering with chocolate ganache
  19. Then cut and enjoy
