Chances are if you’re like me, and most of America, you have a cabinet full full of water bottles.

Every couple of months we have this URG to lie to ourselves and say you know what “this water bottle is going to make me drink my daily recommended water intake[1]“. So we spend $15 on another water bottle, use it for maybe two weeks, let it sit on our desk half full until we eventually maybe rinse it out and throw it in the cabinet with the rest of our failed attempts.

We’re pretty much just throwing money at reusable water bottles! The reusable water bottle industry currently banks over eight billion dollars a year, with that number growing[2] every single day! But, then again, if you did use that one reusable water bottle in the cabinet you’d save 1,460 plastic bottles per year[3]!

But, enough about how we keep buying more water bottles, how they are environmentally friendly and let’s talk about how I found the best water bottle if you like COLD water.

I own every single metal & glass Ello water bottle, multiples in fact! Zoie has a number of their kids’ water bottles. I absolutely love how durable, easy to clean, and portable they are. However, the only thing I do not like about them, they don’t keep my water super COLD. Not long after my water turns to meh temperature and I become very uninterested.

So, I’ve pretty much given up on drinking water. Sticking to the usual coffee, Red Bull, beer, and a bottle of seltzer. But, my world recently changed, shocker I bought another water bottle!

A couple of days ago, I was browsing Target.com throwing things in my cart I don’t need a Drive-Up order. It dawned on me I was just gifted a bottle of Tequila, and I just ordered raspberries! What could I do, well I could make raspberry margs (recipe soon), but my cocktail shaker was previously destroyed (a story for another time). Neither Targets near me had any cocktail shakers in stock, so I was like whatever I’ll buy an inexpensive water bottle, another one won’t hurt. So I threw this Double Wall Stainless Steel Vacuum Water Bottle for only $6.00 in my cart.

Go to Target, text them I was outside, they throw my order in my trunk and I can home to spend my evening drinking raspberry margs on my front porch while reading. It was a very good night.

The next day I rinse out the water bottle, I set it off to the side to dry. Come back a couple of hours later and decided I’m going to use this water bottle. I grab the PUR Filter from the fridge, fill it up take little drink, close it, and set it on my coffee table and forget about it for a couple of hours. Very parched after waking from a nap, I open the water bottle, take a drink, and GUESS WHAT??? It’s FREEZING COLD, that’s right freezing cold. I was perplexed about how cold the water still was. I didn’t think it was possible, I didn’t buy a $40 Visco Girl Hydro Flask, it was $6.00 water bottle.

So I’m thinking to myself maybe I’m very parched, let me leave this water bottle filled overnight and see if when I wake up it’s still FREEZING COLD. Sure enough 12-hours later still freezing cold, a $6.00 water bottle.

Sure enough, it’s been a couple of days, I keep refilling the water bottle and keep drinking the water because it’s staying COLD. It’s keeping my interest. We will see how long this water bottle lasts before it too is collecting dust, so stay tuned.

Also, just a reminder you’re to wash your water bottle after every use[4]. Let’s be honest none of us do, so maybe once a week. The bacteria from your mouth does fester on that water bottle lid, just putting it out there.

Side note, if you’re going to spend your night drinking margaritas on your porch made in a water bottle, I’d recommend taking IVITA Active Hangover Prevention Pills before you fall asleep. You won’t spend your next day wishing you were dying.

Also, another recommendation, chug a bottle of WTRMLN WTR when you wake up to rehydrate and put vitamins back in your body.
