Canada Dry has come out with a new flavor Bold Ginger Ale!

I was one of the lucky Influensters who was able to snag a box of this new bold flavor.

Let me start off saying, I am a fan of original Canada Dry. Growing up there was always a couple of cans in the fridge with a bottle or two in the cellar. Canada Dry was there for every upset stomach, post drink sickness, and/or just when I need a fizzy pick me up. Seltzer water wasn’t as popular as it is now hen I was a kid, shocking with the last name… As an adult, it’s still my go-to ginger ale.

With that being said, I was very excited when I heard I would be receiving a Canada Dry Voxbox. A new flavor I was definitely willing to try, especially since I loved Canada Dry Ginger Ale with Lemonade.

So the time had come, I had received my box, placed the cans in the fridge and waited 24 hours to open. Now just what did I think?

First, this bold ginger ale was not as fizzy as the original Ginger Ale. When I first poured the glass it did not have a lot of head, nor did it have a lot of bubbles (see video below). Just to make sure it was not the first can, I waited two days to open the next can and the same amount of fix, head, and bubbles.

The flavor, the original Canada Dry is not too sweet and just the right amount of ginger flavor. The new Canada Dry Bold Ginger Ale packs a mouthful of ginger flavoring into my mouth. For me, it was like eating chunks of ginger with my sushi or sucking a Gin-Gins to settle my stomach.

It was a lot to handle in a drink. Not only does Canada Dry Bold have a strong flavor, but it leaves a weird chemical after taste. That weird taste you get in your mouth when you spray too much extra strength Febreeze on your couch.

For an everyday ginger ale drink, I would not recommend it, it’s too bold for an everyday drink or even when you have an upset stomach.

With that being said, I would recommend using Canada Dry Bold Ginger Ale in a Moscow Mule! The bold flavor compliments the lime, leaving a nice party in your mouth. Also, the aftertaste does not seem to occur when mixed in a mixed drink.

In the end, for me, Canada Dry Bold Ginger Ale will be a Moscow Mule mixer and not an everyday drink.

Comment below, let me know what you think about the new Canada Dry Bold Ginger Ale.
