I miss that time in college when I had minimal bills, I didn’t have to work around the clock, and my chore list wasn’t a mile long.

Every week a new bill is due and the fee has gone up. The grocery bill is getting to be a bit ridiculous. The house is always in disarray, and it’s like I’m constantly cleaning up.

I wish I could go back in time and just remind myself to enjoy that time. Enjoy the paycheck I received, it might have been small, but I was able to keep 75% of it for what I wanted to do. I shared chores with roommates, who might have been a bit wild, but always helped clean.

Tell me this will be the best time in your life. Everything will go downhill from here. You will get to keep maybe 2% of your paycheck for something fun, and you don’t even get to enjoy that.

You’ll be too busy trying to find freelance or working on freelance because you’re well-paying job still doesn’t cover all your expenses. When you’re not working chances are you cleaning your house that never seems to be clean or putting away the 12 loads of laundry that always appears.

Enjoy those 3.5 years because your life might be a bit wild, but it turns into a dumpster fire. You’re broke, everyone else has moved on, and you’re just hanging out in the middle of nowhere trying to make it to the next day.
