As I look back on the past decade, espcially the past year I’ve relized I’ve done zero things that are intersting and/or worth mentioning.
I haven’t taken any interesting trips, I haven’t made a significant impact on society, none of the work in my portfolio is even worth mentioning, and I really haven’t learned anything impactfully new in a while.
I put together a list of things I’d like to accomplish in 2020.
- Cut my waste by 50%
- Work on a meaningful project
- Learn to use my sowing machine
- Take a train ride
- Donate Blood 10 times
- Visit home
- Take a plane ride
- Start learning a new language
- Weekend off the grid
- Use a disposable camera & have the film developed
- Read 50 physical books (drop suggestions in the comments)
- Work on a project that gives back
- Make an Alexa skill
- Make & donate care packages to those in need
- Visit a west coast beach
- Obtain a passport
- Switch my house to be more eco friendly
- Try 30 new recipes
- Finish my Analytics training
- Become a Cicerone
- Actually be happy
- Volunteer once a month
- Have dinner/lunch with a friend at least once a month
- Have more than 75¢ in my savings account by the end of 2020
- Take 6 weekend trips
- Take a pottery class
- Prefect my JavaScript skills
- Be a better mentor
- Double my Toy Drive donations
- Develop an app
Hopefully, since I’ll actually be 30 in 6 months I’ll actually have some of these accomplished, or even partly accomplished. Maybe in 2021 I can actually look back and say I did something meaningful.
Follow along with my progress on Instagram, maybe even give me some suggestions on how to achieve my 2020 goals.
