A couple of months ago my friend recommend Dollar Shave Club, I kept seeing ads for the subscription service, so I thought why not?
So I took their coupon code and signed up! My first box included a razor, 4 replacement cartridges (4x Blades) and a sample of shea butter, all for just $5!
Lathered up my legs and started to shave, it really wasn’t anything special. Hung-up the razor on the razor hook, put on the shea butter and called it a night.
About nine days later I had to shave again, which is not normal for me, I normally shave every 2 weeks. Lathered up my legs, went to shave again and I had received multiple cuts and my leg turned red. Replaced the blad with one of the four replacement cartridges and my other leg was fine. A couple of days went by and I had to shave again, and the issue happened again.
I went back to using my original razors, and gave the Dollar Shave Club Razors a break. A couple months went by, the next subscription came and sat in the box. Eventually I tried using the razors again, and again the same results!
I immediately canceled my subscription! The cartridges do not last past one shave, and I felt like I was throwing money down the drain! The 4x replacement cartridges are $7 per shipment, which for me was every three months which comes out to $21 a year. If you’re receiving them every month, that’s $84 a month you’re spending on razor cartridges.
