Are you looking for a fall activity to help get out all your rage?
Then you definitely need to try rage pumpkins!
It’s exactly what it sounds like, you take all your rage out on a pumpkin! Big, small, huge, whatever size pumpkin and you just hit it with whatever you can find!
I’d recommend doing this on a Friday evening. All the pent up rage from the week, you just take it out on the pumpkin.
What You’ll Need
- Pumpkin(s)
- I recommend going to your local Aldi or grocery store, do not go to a pumpkin patch. You will be destroying them, so do not pay a lot of money.

- Eye Protection
- Protective Safety Goggles are what I recommend. They secure to your head and do not fall off when you are sweating. You can pick these up at Tractor Supply or any hardware store
- Safety Glasses are another option we used. They protect your eyes, however they do start to slip when you start sweating
- Swim Goggles are an option as well. They however do not cover your forehead and are more restrictive on your head.
- Blunt Force Object
- Hammer a hammer is great for both sides, you can hit the pumpkin with the face or the claw. I would recommend buying one with a rubber grip
- Baseball Bat is great for those who are really looking to get rage out! I would not recommend a wooden baseball bat, a metal one would work the best.
WARNINGS
- Make sure to wear eye protection! Little chunks of pumpkin will fly everywhere.
- Be careful with your blunt force object, pumpkins are round and they move! You could hit the ground, your foot, or a hand
- If you are doing this in a group space yourself out, remember PUMPKINS ARE ROUND and they do move!
- Do your rage pumpkins in an area that can easily be cleaned up! Remember you’ll beat this thing to a crisp, and there are a lot of guts in a pumpkin.
- Do this outside, there will be a lot of mess!
- DO NOT EAT YOUR PUMPKIN SEEDS! Remember you are hitting this pumpkin outside, with a blunt force object, there will be germs, especially if you are in the grass!!
Once you are finished with desecrating your pumpkin I recommend moving the pieces to an area where the deer and other animals can easily eat the insides. This is a great treat for deer, ours absolutely devoured all four of our rage pumpkins.
