Today is National Food Bank Day.

The perfect day to make an item or monetary donation to your local food bank.

Reminder, you don’t need the help today, but that does not mean you might not need the assistance down the road. Life can change in a snap of a finger. At the height of the pandemic, more than a 60million people turned to their local food banks for help[1].

So today make a donation from your chair, couch, or even car. Donate a monetary donation or an item. Click here if you’d like to donate an item to the Greater Area Pittsburgh Food Bank.

If you plan on donating items, here is a list of things food banks need. Also, a reminder to ask your local grocery store if they have a drop-off space for donations. Several grocery stores will have a dropoff location at the front of the store.
