Bucket lists are a great life goal list.
What do I have on my bucket list?
I’m going to add on to my Day 6, Bucket List.
I did take the Zero Waste Challenge multiple times since then. 100% super hard! If you say it’s not — you must not have children, grow everything you have, live in a town that recycles, and can upcycle like a BOSS. We have a compost bin, I drive our recycling to the recycling center, I try to buy package free as much as I can, we have all but eliminated single-use items, we try to upcycle what we can, but is it tough!
Any recommendations on the Zero Waste Challenge are always appreciated!
Now for the good parts, what do we got?
Learn Danish
If you have been following along with my 30-Day Blog Challenge and read Day 19: Let’s Learn you know I’m taking Danish lessons. Those are going — well um not terrible, but not great.
I’m getting tripped up on combined words into one word or not having words for specific words. So yea, it’s going mediocre at best. But I am trying, and I’m on level two!
I’m not trying to be fluent, but hold a conversation and watch movies without subtitles.
Harry Potter London
We had the chance to go to Harry Potter New York! It was pretty awesome! I scored a Grindelwald Wanted Poster, which I was VERY excited about. We even had the chance to try Butterbeer and eat Chocolate Fogs.
A long time ago I even had the chance to go to New York for the New York Discovery Harry Potter exhibit. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. I had the chance to sit in Hagrid’s chair, throw quaffles, and sit at one of the great hall tables.
However, none of it will be the same as visiting the Harry Potter London Studio tour. This is one of those bucket lists I’d like to experience within the next 5-years! Lots of freelance will be needed to save up for this trip!
Zip Line
I had the chance to zip line at a rope course when we visited Deep Creek. However, I want to do a long and through the forest zip line. It’s so much fun to glide through the sky. It’s almost like parasailing, but on a cord.
Yacht Vacation
I love being out at sea, I love boats and just the relaxing feeling of the water. However, I am not okay with being confined to a boat with strangers. A number of things can happen, I also cannot leave when I want, etc.
Several organizations do private yacht vacations. You have the yacht to yourself, with all the experiences of being on a cruise ship. But, far more relaxing, minimal strangers — a crew is needed for cooking, cleaning, and driving the yacht — and you can state where you want to go.
Move To A Bigger Home
Owning a home currently is not in the cards for me. I am not financially stable to pay for a water heater to go out or a tree that needs to be removed. I’ve had enough things go wrong the past year in the townhome I rent that I know it’s not financially in the cards. Do you know much it costs to repair flooring and drywall when your washer leaks everywhere… Also, I have no clue how to repair a broken pipe or leaking faucet. Yea, YouTube helped me repair my dryer and washer, but YouTube can only do so too much.
I don’t have a garage, my porch is tiny, we do not have a basement, and the storage space is minimal. We’re growing out of the home we currently live in. We have enough craft supplies to supply a small classroom and decorations for all the holidays, and it’s just not working out.
When we moved into this townhouse we had a single bed to share, clothing, plates, and nick-nacks. We didn’t have a couch for about three years, no pots or pans, towels, etc. With the help of friends, and a lot of freelance work through the years I’ve been able to fill the house. Within the next couple of years, I hope to become more financially stable to afford to move to a larger home, hopefully with an office so I can stop working in my room!
