These are the items I think you need to pack with you for when you travel, besides the necessities like toiletries and clothing.
Also, I’d like to take this post with a grain of salt. I travel maybe two times a year, so I’m not an expert.
- Bed Bug Spray
This is self-explanatory! I do not care if you’re staying in a 5-star hotel or a 1-star motel — bed bugs can be anywhere! - Alexa
I’m 100% a hot mess without my Alexa! I should be able to say “Hey Alexa, what are the closest restaurants” I don’t want to pull out my phone while I’m in between activities. Taking her on vacation is a lifesaver you can ask all types of questions about the area, get the weather, and even give you a brief history. Not only all that you can set reminders, alarms, and have a white noise machine. - AeroPress
This last vacation I was thankful for my AeroPress, they did not have coffee machines in the room, and the resort coffee I’m sure was Folgers. I went savage and grounded my beans before I left, paced them in a glass container, and placed them in my travel bag with my AeroPress. Don’t trust that there will be a good coffee shop near, or the hotel will have good coffee. - Disinfectant Spray
Again self-explanatory! The person cleaning the room might have forgotten a spot, you might have put your dirty phone down on the bed, whatever the issue might be; bring sanitizing spray. I’d recommend one you can spray on fabrics; so you can spray the bed and furniture. - UV Light Sanitizer Wand
Lastly, self-explanatory. You’ve just traveled, your phone, luggage, etc have germs ALL OVER IT. You need to make sure you can sanitize, especially if you laid your phone down anywhere or rolled your luggage on the sidewalk. - Hydration Packs & Waterbottle
You’re traveling — that means your body is working extra, and your immune system is weak. Make sure to drink as much water as you can and add Hydration Packs so that you keep that immune system up. - Portable Charger
A portable charger is a must-have in your bag when traveling or just leaving the house. Purchase one with a built-in cable, this way you don’t have to carry an extra cable. You can charge your phone anywhere while traveling. I also like having a portable charger because I’ve stayed at hotels that don’t have plugs next to the bed, and sometimes I want to scroll the Gram on my phone while charging. - Laundry Bag
I always pack at least two! One small bag for the swim suits and one for another dirty laundry. I do not want to throw my dirty clothes in with the remaining overpacked clothing. I like my laundry bags also to have zippers, so nothing falls out. I’m a firm believer in using wet bags for laundry bags. I’d highly recommend Kindercloth small and large wet bags for dirty laundry bags. - Stun Gun Pen or Pepper Spray
Have you seen Hostel? You are traveling anyone can walk up to you at any point and try and take you. Have you seen Hostel? Make sure you are prepared for anything, and always be alert.
You are traveling anyone can walk up to you at any point and try and take you. Make sure you are prepared for any situation, and always be alert. Keep the pepper spray on your keychain always, and have it gripped in your hand. The stun gun pen should be kept in your pocket close to you or somewhere easily accessible. - Emergency Information Card & Notebook
This card should be kept in a waterproof bag on you at all times when traveling, especially if you are traveling on your own. Make sure the card is filled out with the most up-to-date information about you. Where you are staying should be the notebook with all the same information and any other important personal information. This card and notebook will make contacting the correct people easy in case of an accident you cannot speak or you die.
There you have it, the 10 things I never travel without! Tell me what you think below.
