Not going to lie, I do have a weakness for a number junk foods.

But first, I’d like to note that I am not going w/ Wikipedia’s definition of Junk Food on this one (please see below). I’m going with a list of Junk Snacks.

Junk food is unhealthy food that is high in calories from sugar or fat, with little dietary fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, or other important forms of nutritional value. Precise definitions vary by purpose and over time. Some high-protein foods, like meat prepared with saturated fat, may be considered junk food.

The reason why is because if you read the above definition, most of my diet would be considered Junk Food! I love french fries smothered in gravy, any form of pizza (except cauliflower pizza, BARF), grilled cheese, charcuterie, chicken nuggets, and the list can go on forever. But, come on, who really considered those junk food….? [insert eye roll here] 😂

In the end, I’m pretty great at sticking to my; no added sugar, no processed foods, no additives, no preservatives in my food, and a majority organic diet. Sticking to a 90/10 clean eating diet, but the following item(s) really can trip up that 10%!

  1. Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
  2. Chips & French Onion Dip
  3. Spoonfuls of Cookie Butter Spread
  4. Crackers w/ Butter
  5. Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
  6. Key Lime Tarts
  7. Hazelnut Cocoa Pillows
  8. Macaroons
  9. Berry Chantilly Cupcakes
  10. Keylime or Chocolate Mouse
