Upcycle Glass Jars

If you know me, you know I don’t throw anything out; from old to glass jars!

Upcycling is seriously one of my favorite activities, even though I don’t do it very often.

I’ll collect glass jars for months, clean them all up and place them in a bin in the closet.

Finally, I decided it was time to upcycle them into useful items I could use in my new place.

I rewashed all the jars and lids, used a hot glue gun to add a little gem on top and spray painted the lids and jars.

I’ve used these jars to hold q-tips, glue sticks, buttons and even rocks Zoie finds.

It’s such a fun activity that takes no time, mostly just waiting for the glue or spray paint to dry.

Also, don’t worry about those pesky labels! Check out my Easy Label Removal post on how to get them off!

I buy fresh cut up fruit in glass jars all the time. I keep them and drink out of them. when I have bunch of them I give them to my mom who then gives them to a friend of her’s that cans food. There is always a way to reuse old stuff. The more we reuse or recycle the less that ends up in landfills.
