When it comes to meals I’m all for simple and easy, specially with a toddler who wants to feed herself. And the less ingredients the better!! We love pizza (than again who doesn’t), so I came up with an easy way to make quick pizza.
Ingredients
- Slice of whole wheat bread
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella shredded cheese
Equipment
- Butter Knife
- Rolling pin
- Clean counter top
- Toaster oven
- Toaster oven pan
Directions
- Buy ingredients, then when home place all items needed on the countertop leaving space to roll out bread
- Place the slice of bread on clean counter
- Grab the rolling pin and flatten the bread, you’ll have to flip the bread to the over to the other side and roll again
- Take a 1/2 tablespoon of pizza sauce and lightly coat the bread, not to much or it will leak out
- Then a thin layer of mozzarella, leave a about 1/2 inch of the bottom of the bread free of cheese
- Now roll the top part of the bread to the bottom, like you would roll a cinnamon bun
- Make sure you have the lip of the bread on the bottom of the roll
- Make as many rolls as you’d like by following steps 2-7
- Place roll(s) the cookie sheet
- Bake in toaster oven on 325, bake for 8-10, minutes or to desired crunchy
- Remove from toaster oven with oven mitt
- This part is option, I like to cut, my rolls into little 1/2 inch pieces, this is easier for my daughter to pickup
This is an easy, quick meal for both adults and toddlers. Sometimes we even dip them in the leftover pizza sauce!!
