Happy Birthday America!  Hope everyone is enjoying their July 4th.

We celebrated by baking a brownie, adding cream cheese frosting and adding blueberries and strawberries to make a flag.

Brownie

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425
  2. Plug in Kitchen Aid Mixer, on a level surface
  3. Attach whisk & mixing bowl
  4. Measure dry ingredients, place in Kitchen Aid mixing bowl
  5. Turn on low speed add eggs one at a time
  6. Using the measuring cups, measure 1/2 cup of coconut oil, and place in the metal bowl
  7. Place a metal bowl in the microwave/toaster oven until melted
  8. Using the oven remove the metal bowl and pour coconut oil into dry ingredient mixture
  9. Add maple syrup & pure vanilla extract
  10. Mix ingredients until smooth, turn off Kitchen Aid Mixer
  11. Remove mixing bowl, set to the side
  12. Spray the glass baking sheet with cooking spray, extra in the corners
  13. Grab the mixing bowl, pour brownie mixture until the glass baking sheet, use the rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl
  14. Once all the brownie mixture is out, use the rubber spatula to even out the brownie mixture in the glass baking sheet
  15. Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the cake tester comes out clean
  16. Remove from the oven with oven mitts, turn off the oven
  17. Let the brownie sit to the side to cool

Cream Cheese Frosting/Top of the Flag

  1. Using the Mixing Cups measure 2 cups of coconut sugar
  2. Pour coconut sugar into the Ninja Juicer container, and pulse until smooth
  3. Set the coconut sugar to the side
  4. In the mixing bowl add: cream cheese, coconut oil & pure vanilla extract
  5. Using the fork mix, slowly add the coconut sugar 
  6. Mix until smooth
  7. Once the brownie is cool, pour the cream cheese frosting on top of the brownie
  8. Using the rubber spatula scrape the sides of the mixing bowl
  9. Then using the rubber spatula smooth out the cream cheese frosting evenly
  10. Add the blueberries & sliced strawberries to the top

Now cut and enjoy!
