Every year I donate money to charity, I donate a toy to a toy drive and collect food for a local food bank.  To help those during the holiday season.  This year we can’t really do much, with medical bills and a new baby coming in 2014 money is pretty much spoken for, but I still want to help out.

I’m trying to still help out, I’ve donated clothes we aren’t using & donated baby samples I received that we won’t be using.  But I still feel the need to help a little more.  I’ve been using the app Charity Miles for the past couple months and you’ve probably seen me blog about it before.

The app donates 10¢ for every mile you ride your bike and 25¢ for every mile your run or walk to the charity of your choice (on their charity list).

This would be a great way to work off those Thanksgiving pounds and get a jumpstart on your 2014 body everyone wants.  Even if you do one mile a day you’re still helping someone out there.  Whether you are Feeding America or giving hope to an animal at the ASPCA, ever cent counts.

To find out more on Charity Miles visit their Facebook Page (click here) or check out their website at CharityMiles.org.  To download on the Google Play store (click here) for the  App Store (click here).

Since I need keep my exercise up for the big day in January, my plan is to walk at least one to two miles with the app everyday in the month of December, starting today with donating to (RED) to help with the fight on World AIDs day.
